Run Overview

This is the last week prior to my fist marathon race ever. It's very exciting, but also I feel like the training wasn't effortless. And, as other runners that I talked to or saw on the YouTube shared, that it's very common to get sick right before the race. The main reason is that as you go through an extensive training your body drains a little and immune system can be weekend. For me it doesn't help that I have two youngsters who go to school and bring all kinds of "goodies" back. So, here I am, today is the second day where I feel a little sick. I don't have any fever, but congested, runny nose and general weakness in my muscles. Not the best place to be before big race. But I am trying to rest more, take more vitamins and also drink a lot of fluids. Todays run was ok, I don't see any major reasons that would stop me from participating in the race. So, hope I will be much better when race comes.
